One Sheet Of Paper

I came across these the other day and thought that they were just wonderful!! They are entries for an art competition at the Hirshorn Modern Art Gallery in DC and the rule was that each artist could only use one sheet of paper. There are some amazingly talented people out there....

I want the tree one!!!

  1. That's the great thing about art and creative work - there are no bariers even when some are imposed. These are amazing.

  2. These are amazing! Ok, I might be able to write a book or two, but I couldn't begin to even imagine how to do something like these. Human creativity is...oops...I was going to say amazing again. I guess I'm speehless.

Mark - Erm, I don't really know!! I usually stumble upon them by accident :-)

I love the tower too...but I'm afraid it wouldn't last long in our house...one flying cat and it would all be over!!

  8. How wonderful are these, I especially love the
4th down, man hanging off, very clever indeed, jeez my A4's are used to print things off, or to mop up can's of Pepsi that seem to fall on the table when nobody is looking.

  13. Oh NEAT!
Here is the website of the artist who created these, the ones done with colour, like 'Heaven and Hell' are fantastic! Mind-bogglingly satisfying and thank you for pointing out this Danish artist.

  15. Someone sent these to me via e mail recently. I was amazed by them! Aren't they just so lovely, thank you for reminding me of them again. It would be great to see them in 'the flesh' as it were.

Have you seen the Banksey exhibition at the Bristol museum yet?

  16. Suburbia - I've actually e-mailed the guy who created them asking if they are going on display anywhere in the UK (I know...sad aren't I!!)

I've not seen the exhibition yet. We were in Bristol a couple of weeks ago and were tempted till we drove past and saw the queue!! Have you been? (My Mum is coming to stay in a few weeks and I was thinking that we might go and see it...she loves all things arty too!!)
