It's bread....but would you be able to eat it?

A friend of ours in Bangkok sent this over via e-mail and I just had to share it with you!! (sorry if it's grossed you out)

A bakery in the Thai province of Ratchaburi (which is about 100km east of Bangkok) wanted to highlight the Buddhist principle that you shouldn't always believe what you see and they came up with this little delight ....

So the question is.....Would you, or indeed could you, eat it?
(I'm really not sure...I know it's bread but....)

I do have the feeling that this guy's talents are waisted in a Bakery....he should be doing Hollywood Make-up!!

  5. Mark - They sure are...which is why I just had to blog about them!!

LadyFi - I think perhaps, once I got over the horror of them, I would too....it would just look like normal bread once sliced and buttered!! (although I think I would probably have to get someone else to slice it!)

  6. Hi Carol...I've noticed your comments on one or two other blogs that I read so I thought I'd have a look at yours...and now I have I like the look of it so I'll stick around if you don't mind?

No...I couldn't eat that bread...I eat with my eyes first before food goes in my mouth...and yuk...no way!

Hehehe, it's a funny one isn't it...my head tells me that it's only bread but what my eyes see tells me to stay as far away from it as possible!!

  10. Yak, definitely not. I agree that this chap's talents are wasted and he should probably do well working in movies.

  13. I don't think I could do it - although if it smelt yummy I'd have to shut my eyes and have a go. How do people dream up these things? I remember seeing someone doing faces out of cheese once. Odd too but not revolting.

  16. FF - Actually, I think a face made out of cheese would freak me out more than these!! Hehehe, as Sue said on Facebook....if it had chocolate inside it...

Helen - LOL...that was my first reaction too!!

Talli - It's erm rather stunning isn't it!! Once it was cut up I think I would be fine but i'm not sure if I could take a knife to it!!
